TVH Group is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to define and lead the company’s architecture strategy and governance, ensuring alignment across business, data, and technology layers. You will shape the target architecture and guardrails while overseeing portfolio alignment and roadmaps.

You will guide senior stakeholders, chair EA governance boards, and drive strategic platform decisions with the Technology Architect.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in enterprise IT with cross-domain experience.
• TOGAF framework experience.
• Experience leading governance boards (EAB/SAB).
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong asset.
• Experience with LeanIX, Confluence, Jira.
• Experience in manufacturing or global organizations.

Responsabilités

• Define, maintain, and communicate TVH’s Enterprise Architecture Strategy and Enterprise Target Architecture across business, application, data, and technology layers.
• Establish and evolve the Enterprise Architecture Principles and guardrails that all architecture decisions must follow.
• Own multi-year Enterprise Architecture Roadmap linked to business outcomes.
• Advise IT and business stakeholders on cost, risk, and dependencies.
• Chair the Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) and participate in SAB.
• Make strategic platform decisions and build vs. buy evaluations with the Technology Architect.
• Spend ~90% of time on strategic steering and governance; 10% on project work.
• Direct Domain Architects and provide coaching and development.
• Mature the Governance Framework and track practice maturity.

As the Enterprise Architect, you define the overall architecture target-state direction for TVH. You make sure business and IT strategy, operating model choices and technology evolution translate into coherent architectural guardrails that enable sustainable change.You ensure that all digital initiatives across the company are moving in the same direction by setting clear rules and standards. Instead of getting involved in the daily coding or technical delivery, you focus on ensuring TVH is "building the right things".

Your role and responsibilities

Architecture Vision, Strategy and Innovation

• Define, maintain, and communicate TVH’s Enterprise Architecture Strategy and Enterprise Target Architecture across business, application, data, and technology layers.
• Establish and evolve the Enterprise Architecture Principles and guardrails that all architecture decisions and solution designs across the enterprise must follow.
• Ensure architecture decisions are aligned with TVH’s enterprise capability model and strategic ambition.

Portfolio Alignment, Roadmaps and Advisory

• Own and manage the multi-year Enterprise Architecture Roadmap, linking architectural investments to business outcomes.
• Weigh in on and assess strategic initiatives for architectural fit, value, risk, and portfolio alignment.
• Act as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders. Make cost, risk, complexity, and dependency impacts explicit for management.

Strategic Steering and Board Participation

• Chair the Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual cadence to govern target architectures and resolve cross-domain conflicts.
• Participate on the Solution Architecture Board (SAB) to review solution adherence to enterprise standards.
• Make strategic platform decisions and enterprise-level build vs. buy choices in collaboration with the Technology Architect, including evaluating new technology categories not in the TVH catalogue.
• Spend approximately 90% of your time on strategic steering and continuous architecture, and 10% on project-specific design work.

Practice Leadership

• Directly manage, coach, and develop the Domain Architects across key business areas.
• Provide strategic direction and quality oversight to Solution, Technology, Security, Data, and Integration Architects.
• Drive content accuracy for enterprise target architectures and capability models in LeanIX and Confluence.
• Own and mature the Enterprise Architecture Governance Framework, tracking practice maturity over time.

How to succeed / Your profile

• Master's degree in a relevant field (IT, engineering, business informatics) or equivalent through experience.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise-grade IT, including several years operating at the enterprise or cross-domain level.
• Proven experience defining and governing enterprise architecture within a complex, multi-domain organization using frameworks like TOGAF.
• Experience chairing or actively participating in senior architecture governance boards (e.g., EAB/SAB structures).
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Demonstrated people management experience, with a track record of leading, coaching, and developing senior architectural talent.
• Experience with enterprise architecture repository tooling, specifically LeanIX.
• Experience with Confluence and Jira.
• TOGAF certification and experience utilizing organizational maturity models.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or similarly complex global organization.
• Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset.
