Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is assisting an international insurer in Belgium to strengthen its claims team. They seek a Claims Specialist Engineering & Construction to manage technical and construction-related claims, working with brokers, clients, experts and legal advisors to deliver efficient resolutions.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to complex corporate and engineering-related claims, and extensive training with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• University degree, ideally in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Insurance or a related field.
• Affinity with construction techniques, engineering projects or technical risks.
• First professional experience in insurance, engineering, construction or claims is an asset.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in Dutch with a good command of English; French is a plus.
• Proactive, organised and eager to further develop technical expertise.

Responsabilités

• Manage engineering, construction and professional liability claims from notification to settlement.
• Assess coverage, liability and financial exposure.
• Coordinate with experts, lawyers, brokers and insured parties.
• Monitor claim progress, reserves and reporting requirements.
• Identify recovery opportunities and support recourse actions.
• Contribute to claims analysis, risk insights and continuous improvement initiatives.
