Belden in Olen, Belgium, is seeking a Medior Engineer Software Development to design, develop, test, and maintain the XTran network management software. This full-time, hybrid role collaborates with hardware, firmware, QA, and product teams to keep mission-critical networks running.

You will contribute to software that integrates voice, data, video, and SCADA, participate in agile ceremonies, conduct design and code reviews, and explore new technologies to keep Belden at the forefront of

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Sciences, or equivalent.
• Strong C# and .NET expertise with debugging skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving and performance tuning abilities.
• Experience in agile teams with hardware/firmware collaboration.
• Experience with unit/component testing and English communication.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for the XTran network management platform, Belden's mission-critical telecommunication network solution.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, product management, and the customer service organization to deliver high-quality software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables within an agile development environment.
• Conduct regular design and code reviews, and actively participate in debugging and resolving coding issues.
• Introduce new technologies and platforms into the R&D group's development activities, helping keep the team at the forefront of software innovation.

ENGINEER SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Belden Solutions develops XTran, the mission-critical telecommunication platform used by metros, light-rails, ports, utilities, public safety organizations, and industrial sites worldwide to integrate voice, data, video, and SCADA into one high-speed fiber network. For our Olen-based engineering center, we’re looking for an Engineer Software Development to join our product development team, designing and maintaining the software behind XTran while working closely with hardware, firmware, QA, and product teams to keep mission-critical networks running.

You will make an impact in the following way:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for the XTran network management platform, Belden's mission-critical telecommunication network solution.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA teams, product management, and the customer service organization to deliver high-quality software.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables within an agile development environment.
• Conduct regular design and code reviews, and actively participate in debugging and resolving coding issues.
• Introduce new technologies and platforms into the R&D group's development activities, helping keep the team at the forefront of software innovation.

What you will bring:

• Educational Background – A Master's degree in Engineering, Information Sciences, or equivalent through experience.
• C# & .NET Expertise – Solid knowledge of the .NET framework and C# programming language, with strong coding, debugging, and maintenance skills.
• Problem-Solving Mindset – Strong analytical, problem-solving, and performance-tuning abilities, with experience analyzing business requirements to develop efficient solutions.
• Collaborative Team Player – Ability to multi-task across varying priorities and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team alongside hardware and firmware engineers.
• Testing & Quality Focus – Experience setting up unit and component testing, including the use of automated testing frameworks, and proficiency in both spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

Experience in the domain of cybersecurity is a major plus.
