An electronic design solutions provider in Belgium is looking for an Engineer Delivery Manager. The role involves leading engineering projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with defense industry standards. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in technical project management within high-reliability industries such as aerospace or automotive. Fluency in French and English is required, with knowledge of other languages a plus.

As part of the development of the activities of one of our clients, we are looking for a Engineer Delivery Manager M/F.

Your missions will be as follows:

Responsibility

• Strong focus on Engineering delivery to achieve project on‑time delivery and within budget
• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering projects involving hardware, software, and system integration components
• Building a team with the same goals to create an efficient engineering chain conducting all engineering activities R&T/R&D
• Manage cross‑disciplines engineering teams, including systems engineers, embedded developers, and test engineers
• Identify and understand key impact points related to the delivery of all technical aspects of the project
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize delivery processes, including Agile or V‑model methodologies adapted to defense projects
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Define and track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables aligned with contractual commitments
• Ensure clear communication and reporting with internal stakeholders and external customers, including progress, challenges, and technical solutions
• Collaborate with program managers, people manager, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure compliance with defense industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AQAP)
• Support regulatory and certification activities related to product safety, reliability, and performance

Profile

• Completed Master’s degree in Engineering
• Proven track record with minimum 5 years of Technical Project Management or technical leadership experience within an Engineering Company (high tech) in aerospace, defense, automotive, embedded system or other high-reliability industries
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering: Model Based Design Engineering (MBSE), embedded hardware and software in complex applications, system product development, and integration/testing processes
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex technical projects
• Results‑oriented, cost‑conscious and proactive in taking initiative
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a highly regulated environment
• Vision‑driven, able to handle complex situations
• “Can‑do” and “why‑not‑this” attitude
• Lead with integrity and engage stakeholders
• Demonstrated excellent Project Management skills: scope, stakeholder, resource and risk management, capable of working in multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, PowerBI, Polarion, Capella, Windchill)
• Positive and cooperative mindset, seeking improvement within the team rather than pointing out defaults in others
• Enthusiastic, dynamic and excellent communication skills
• Experience in aeronautical, spatial, defense or automotive industry, as well as a knowledge of the standards DO‑178, ARP4754 or ISO26262, is a plus
• Fluent in French, English; knowledge of German or Dutch is a plus
