Job summary

Nalys in Belgium seeks a Basic Software Engineer to design, develop and validate BSW modules in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems. You will work on low-level drivers, MCAL, and automotive networks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) with MISRA/C safety standards.

You will run SIL and HIL validation, develop test scripts in Python, analyze network logs, and collaborate with architects, developers and integration teams on a major automotive program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or engineering degree in embedded systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of embedded software development and validation experience.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace, or railway industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Basic Software (BSW) modules in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems.
• Develop low-level drivers and MCAL configurations.
• Implement CAN/LIN and Automotive Ethernet stacks and diagnostic protocols.
• Ensure CI of code following MISRA C/C++ and functional safety guidelines.
• Design and execute SIL tests and develop HIL test scenarios on benches.
• Create Python scripts for test automation and log analysis.
• Collaborate with system architects, application developers, and integration teams.
