Vivid Resourcing is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join a robotics team in Bruges, Belgium. The role focuses on designing and developing embedded software for robotic and mechatronic systems using C/C++ on resource-constrained platforms.

You will work with RTOS and/or Embedded Linux, interfacing with sensors and actuators, and collaborating with hardware, electronics, mechanical and controls engineers to bring products from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in C/C++ and embedded software development.
• Experience with RTOS and/or Embedded Linux.
• Interest or experience in robotics, mechatronics or motion control.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop embedded software for robotic and mechatronic systems.
• Develop software in C and/or C++ for resource-constrained embedded platforms.
• Work with RTOS and/or Embedded Linux environments.
• Develop and integrate software for microcontrollers, processors and embedded hardware.
• Interface with sensors, actuators, motors and other peripheral devices.
• Debug and optimise software at both application and low-level embedded layers.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, electronics, mechanical and controls engineers.
• Contribute to software architecture, testing and code reviews.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the full embedded system.
• Support the development and validation of robotic products from prototype through to production.

Embedded Software Engineer - Robotics

The Role:

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join an innovative team developing advanced robotic and mechatronic systems.

You will be involved in the design, development and optimisation of embedded software running on robotic platforms, working closely with hardware and multidisciplinary engineering teams to bring complex products from concept through to production.

This role would suit an engineer with a strong foundation in C/C++ and embedded software development, with experience in either RTOS and/or Embedded Linux.

Experience or an interest in robotics, mechatronics or motion control would be a strong advantage.
