LAMBDA-X HIGH-TECH in Belgium develops state-of-the-art optical systems and engineering services for customized optics. The team partners with customers to move concepts to production through prototyping, integration and validation across life sciences, space, defense and industrial markets.

The role covers electronic design, PCB layout with Altium Designer, wiring architectures, component selection and hands-on prototype assembly in cleanroom environments, with a focus on testing, documentation

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in electronics/engineering.
• Experience in HW development, engineering, and automated equipment.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with C/C++.
• Fluent in English and French; willingness to learn optics fundamentals.

Responsabilités

• Design electronic circuits and PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Develop wiring architectures and cable harnesses with documentation.
• Select electronic components and support technical trade-offs.
• Participate in prototype integration, wiring and assembly in cleanroom environments.

In view of its continuous growth, Lambda-X is actively looking for a (m/f/x):

• Under the supervision of the Electronic Competence Center Coordinator and in close collaboration with Project Managers,you contribute to the development of advanced optical systems serving demanding markets (life sciences, space, defense and industrial markets).
• You play an active role throughout the entire product development cycle, from electronic design to system integration and validation. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help transform innovative concepts into reliable and high-performance equipment.
• You work hand in hand with colleagues, customers and suppliers to solve technical challenges, drive projects forward and ensure successful delivery in terms of performance, quality and schedule.

More specifically, your responsibilities include:

• designing electronic circuits and PCBs using Altium Designer,
• developing wiring architectures and cable harnesses, including associated technical documentation,
• selecting electronic components and supporting technical trade-off decisions,
• participating in the integration, wiring and assembly of prototypes and systems in cleanroom environments,
• performing functional testing, troubleshooting and validation activities.
• Contributing to product certification and qualification activities.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

Your profile

• You have a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Your experience combines HW development, engineering, and automated equipment, including PCB design with Altium Designer.
• You are proficient in Python and ideally familiar C and C++.
• You are fluent in English and French.
• You are eager to learn the fundamentals of optics.
