Job summary

Syngenia SA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design, renovation, and optimization of electrical power systems for complex projects including nuclear facilities. You will define equipment ratings, specifications and manage tender processes with customers and suppliers, coordinating across disciplines and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willing to travel abroad for short- to medium-term assignments.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical power aspects for construction/renovation projects, incl. nuclear systems.
• Design, renovation and optimization of electrical systems per standards.
• Define equipment ratings, specs, and overall design.
• Lead invitations to tender, bid analysis and contract awards.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines and with customer installations.
• Provide technical and commercial contract follow-up and support commissioning tests.

Mission

• You are able to manage the various aspects relating to electrical power for construction or renovation projects, with a focus on nuclear electrical systems.
• You take charge of design, renovation and optimization studies for electrical systems, in compliance with local and international standards and regulations.
• You define equipment ratings, technical specifications and the overall design of electrical systems, including generators, generator protections, generator breakers, power transformers, MV and LV motors, AC and DC electrical boards, DC and Safe AC systems, emergency diesel generating sets, cabling and associated equipment.
• You act as Contract Owner and take charge of invitations to tender, technical and commercial bid analysis, negotiations and contract awards for the supply of electrical equipment and services.
• You oversee and coordinate interfaces with other technical disciplines and with the customer’s installation.
• You ensure the technical and commercial follow-up of contracts throughout their execution.
• You participate in factory acceptance tests, supervise on-site installation activities and support commissioning tests for electrical equipment and systems.
• You provide consulting and technical expertise in the field of electrical systems for power generation units and industrial facilities.
• You monitor market developments, industry best practices, as well as advancements in electrical and nuclear standards and regulatory requirements.
• You contribute to the continuous improvement of methodologies and engineering practices within the electrical discipline.

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
• You have at least 8 years of experience in the electrical engineering field.
• You have a strong interest in the analysis and development of solutions for a wide range of technical challenges related to electrical power systems.
• You are proficient in both French and English; knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.
• You are motivated and able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• You place customer satisfaction at the heart of your day-to-day activities and decision-making.
• You demonstrate a dynamic personality combined with a proactive and innovative approach to your work.
• You are independent, rigorous and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
• You are mobile and open to short- or medium-term assignments abroad, as well as regular on-site meetings and activities.
• You hold a BA4 or BA5 certificate and a valid VCA certification.
• You are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and operational excellence in demanding industrial and nuclear environments.
