Bridge Industrial bv. seeks an Electrical Commissioning Engineer (Supervisor) to oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems on a major industrial project.

You will collaborate with the Commissioning Manager and multidisciplinary teams, coordinating resources, documentation, and handover to operations in a dynamic, international project

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in electrical commissioning within industrial projects.
• Deep knowledge of power distribution, control systems and instrumentation.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

We are currently looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer (Supervisor) to join a major industrial project. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-commissioning and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems, ensuring all components are installed, tested, and validated in line with design specifications, procedures, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning Planning

• Develop comprehensive commissioning plans and procedures for electrical systems, outlining objectives, testing methods, and schedules
• Ensure commissioning activities are fully integrated into the overall project timeline
• Review vendor procedures for electrical testing

Testing & Verification

• Supervise testing activities carried out by vendors and subcontractors, including power distribution systems, transformers, HV and LV switchgear, control systems, interfaces, interlocks, loop checks, and safety devices
• Oversee electrical system integration testing to ensure safe and reliable operations
• Supervise protection testing and settings

Test Procedure Development

• Prepare and/or review commissioning test procedures (CTPs) in line with contract requirements and industry standards
• Define temporary systems required for testing activities
• Plan vendor support, tools, equipment, and specialist resources needed for commissioning
• Ensure test procedures are clear, detailed, and executed safely and effectively

Issue Identification & Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve issues arising during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases
• Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and review detailed commissioning reports covering activities, results, and deviations
• Maintain accurate records of test results, inspections, punch lists, and compliance documentation

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with the Commissioning Manager, subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate progress, test results, and issues clearly to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment

Safety Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations during commissioning activities
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure all personnel are trained in relevant safety practices

Final Acceptance & Handover

• Support final system acceptance, ensuring all electrical systems meet project and contractual requirements
• Facilitate smooth handover to operations, including complete documentation and knowledge transfer

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Strong experience in electrical commissioning within industrial projects
• In-depth knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
