About The Role

As the ‘CEO’ of your customer portfolio, you will be the key contact for our Foodservice Belux distributors, managing the overall relationship and growth of your business in volume and margin. The main market segments are Foodservice and Horeca.

You will need to understand your customers’ needs comprehensively to bring relevance and value through a consultative approach. This includes referring sales leads, customer feedback, and market intelligence to relevant internal contacts to adapt to changing market conditions and customer demands.

You will facilitate collaboration across departments such as R&D, pricing, customer care, sales support, trade marketing, and finance. Establishing annual business plans, prioritizing activities, and meeting targets are essential.

Driving innovation and expanding the Foodservice portfolio with our customers are key to long-term value creation. Focus, persistence, and creativity are vital for your growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve business targets within your responsibility scope, following company guidelines for Key Account Managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, developing account plans with the sales team and other departments.
  • Motivate and inspire internal stakeholders towards shared goals.
  • Perform sales activities to meet budgets and targets, proposing improvements and new approaches to customers.
  • Maintain active communication with the sales team and other departments regarding targets, competition, and market insights.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy and communicate with Demand Planning and supply teams.
  • Develop and sustain customer relationships, managing them professionally via CRM systems.
  • Negotiate and establish business agreements in compliance with commercial rules and legislation.
  • Keep knowledge up-to-date and ensure high-quality data reporting and analysis.
  • Share market and customer feedback with relevant teams and managers.
  • Enhance your professional knowledge and understanding of the global organization.
About You
  • Bachelor/Master in Economics, Business Administration, Food Science, or Sales & Marketing.
  • At least 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the B2B food industry.
  • Strong commercial skills, including empathy, listening, presenting, and negotiating.
  • Knowledge of the chocolate/foodservice market is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, Dutch, and French.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Autonomous, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
  • Customer-centric with high empathy and adaptability to change.
  • Hands-on, determined, and committed to objectives.
