Job Description - Program Specialist - Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Medical Education (25000694)

Job Description

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine (Katz) seeks a Program Specialist. The Program Specialist in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Medical Education department provides comprehensive course management services for Phase 2 and 3 courses including clerkships, advanced clerkships and electives. This position is responsible to maintain online student sites (Canvas and One45) used for administration of the Phase 2 and 3 courses. The Specialist regularly communicates with students and course directors and collaborates with directors to ensure that the course is administered in alignment with LKSOM policies and with accreditation standards. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of directly related experience in higher education and/or medical education environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities
  1. Demonstrated ability to organize large, ongoing projects with multiple deadlines.
  2. Demonstrated skills in MS Office Suite and proficiency with database software programs, along with the ability to learn new software applications.
  3. Ability to synthesize and analyze data.
  4. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population.
  6. Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.
Preferred Experience

Higher Education Experience Preferred.
