Job Overview

The Dermatology Outpatients department is looking for an enthusiastic and competent Health Care Assistant to join our growing team based at New Cross Hospital, supporting Mohs surgery. The post holder must work well within a high performing team, complementing the exceptional care delivered to patients undergoing surgery for the treatment of skin cancer.

Responsibilities:

  • Running of Dermatology clinics, ensuring a consistent flow of patients
  • Chaperoning Consultants/Nurses when needed
  • Assisting in Minor Surgery, with small procedures or as part of a larger team for larger surgeries/Mohs
  • Weekly stocking up and stock checks
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Taking calls from patients with queries and passing them on to the relevant health care professional
  • Participating in departmental audits and ordering of stock
  • Using a variety of computer systems (training will be provided)
