Bank Degroof Petercam SA, located in Brussels, is seeking an experienced Discretionary Portfolio Manager to manage a portfolio of French-speaking high net worth clients. You will build and manage client portfolios, ensuring compliance with investment strategies and preparing for client meetings.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in finance or economics and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in French and English is required, with good knowledge of Dutch preferred.

Within our Private Banking department in Brussels, we are currently looking for an experienced Discretionary Portfolio Manager, who will be in charge of a portfolio of French speaking high net worth clients.

Your position

As Discretionary Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for building and managing on a day-to-day basis portfolios for high net worth clients. You implement tailor made investment strategies:

• You will ensure that the portfolios comply with the chosen strategy and with decisions which are taken in various investment committees;
• You closely follow up the performance of the entrusted portfolios and develop tailor made solutions;
• You give technical and commercial support to the Private Bankers and are responsible for the preparation of regular client meetings to inform them about the performance of their portfolio, how the investment strategy evolves and how this is executed in the portfolio. This includes preparation of financial offers, building reports, preparing presentations, …
• You actively help to grow the assets under management by supporting the Private Bankers in increasing their share of wallet.
• You participate in Investment committees (Equities, Bonds, Third party funds, …) and contribute actively to the process of portfolio construction/asset allocation

Your profile

• You have a master degree in business, finance or economics. You are passionate about Finance and you have achieved excellent academic results;
• You have an in-depth understanding of the financial markets thanks to at least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• You are fluent in French and English with a good knowledge of Dutch;
• You are team player with an entrepreneurial attitude and high ethical standards;
• You have a client-oriented and solution-driven mindset;
• You take initiative, are pro-active and have the ability to work independently;
• You have strong analytical skills and a well-developed curiosity.
