Guardsquare, the global leader in mobile application protection, is seeking a Director of Engineering in Leuven, Belgium. You will bridge strategic vision with day-to-day execution, scaling our R&D organization and mentoring Engineering Leads across agile teams building iXGuard and DexGuard.

The ideal candidate is a technically proficient leader with 8+ years of software experience, 3+ years as a manager of managers, strong Java or C++ skills, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• Masters in Computer Science with 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years as a manager of managers.
• Leadership depth: proven ability to scale R&D groups and set performance goals in a fast-growth environment.
• Technical expertise in Java or C++, with low-level programming experience as a significant asset.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor Engineering Leads and multiple teams to deliver core products with predictable releases.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable architectures.
• Drive cross-team coding standards and agile practices within a hybrid Leuven-based setup.
• Balance research with market needs to ensure high-quality software delivery.
