Landmark Global, part of the bpost group, seeks a senior specialist to develop, monitor and optimize distribution solutions across Europe, actively exploring new distribution options with postal operators and private partners.

You will support E-Commerce growth by interfacing with internal teams (PMM, Technology, Operations, Transport, Trade Services, Bpack) and manage the ADS budget (~€15 million), negotiating terms to improve cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master degree required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar environment.
• In-depth knowledge of international parcels and cross-border regulations.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.

What will you do?

Responsible for developing, monitoring and optimizing of the distribution solutions in Europe. Actively searching new distribution solutions within postal operators and private distribution suppliers respecting the global scope of Landmark Global.

As a special task, in charge to actively support the E-Commerce development by acting as an interface with all internal actors (PPM, Technology, Operations, Transport, Trade Services, Bpack…), etc.

Accountabilities

• Managing & optimizing the ADS budget (ca. 15 million €)
• Negotiating with ADS companies in order to obtain optimal operational and commercial conditions and tariffs forthe mail and parcel flows
• Find cost-efficient solutions
• Build & maintain formal & informal contacts with ADS companies, business-related organizations,… in Europe
• Management of contracts between bpost, bpi NV, LG and ADS companies
• Management of bilateral agreements between bpost, bpost NV, LG and other postal operators
• List commercial & operational terms in contracts & service level agreements + develop a system to evaluate these terms objectively

Follow Up Of Market Evolutions

• Maintain an up to date network solutions portfolio by attending the appropriate exhibitions and professional networks.
• Work out benchmark analysis to identify the best distribution solutions

Propose the right solutions to senior management with best quality/price ratio but with main focus to further reduce our spent for final mile delivery.

• Report in a clear way the results of the negotiations to senior management in order for them to take the correct & most appropriate management/business decisions

Maintaining an up to date EU routing guide, visualizing all important parameters of the distribution solutions for mail and parcel products within Europe

• Initiate changes in the distribution network and support the necessary communication (prices, data management, etc.)

Use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements

Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions;

Act as interface with all internal actors and support them with expertized knowhow within the distribution solutions.

• Build & maintain relationship with peers: Share information in the other regions and seeking for establishing a cooperation mind-set. Maintain a strong presence in

Your profile?

• Master degree
• Min 3-5 years experience in a similar environment
• In-depth knowledge of domestic & cross-border parcels
• In-depth knowledge of international postal regulations and products
• Good knowledge of import, export, transit customs regulations
• In-depth customer focus
• Experience in multiple issue negotiations – having impact
• Analytical skills
• Result driven
• People management, transferring knowledge, coaching
• Communication & advisory skills
• Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus
