Job summary
GSK in the United Kingdom / Belgium / US network seeks a seasoned communications leader to support R&D priorities from the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer. You will craft clear narratives, drive strategic communications, and collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners to accelerate R&D impact.
You will shape messaging for boards and external audiences, lead spokespeople prep, and ensure coordinated outreach across Corporate Media and Internal
Qualifications
- Degree in life sciences, communications or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in strategic communications within life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proven ability to translate complex scientific topics into clear, engaging messages.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and multi-disciplinary teams to set objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication tailored to scientific and non-scientific audiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior R&D leaders to progress priorities and deliver communications plans.
- Develop and deliver strategies explaining scientific goals, progress and impact to diverse audiences.
- Create narratives and content translating science into motivating stories.
- Lead preparation and support for senior spokespeople with talking points and media briefings.
- Partner with Corporate Media, Digital and Internal Communications to ensure coordinated outreach.
