IMEC seeks a Director for 2.5D and 3D Advanced Packaging Technologies to lead development from research to platform deployment. You will align needs across business lines into a coherent technology roadmap and coordinate cross‑functional teams to execute strategic milestones.

You will coach senior experts, influence internal strategies, and represent IMEC in external discussions to drive new business opportunities. Relocation support available for Belgium-based work.

What you will do

In thisrole, you will drive the development of advanced 2.5D and 3D packaging technologies from early research through platform deployment across imec organization.Acting as the primary representative of the expert community in these domains,you will align the needs of multiple business lines into a coherent andachievable technology roadmap, ensuring imec can successfully deliver on itsmedium- and long-term ambitions in advanced packaging.
This is ahighly visible leadership position combining strategic vision, technicalexpertise, organizational influence, and cross-functional coordination.

As 2.5D & 3D TechnologiesDirector, you will:

• Gatherand consolidate the technology needs of all business lines related to 2.5Dand 3D integration and packaging.
• Contributeactively to the technology and business strategy development of thesebusiness lines.
• Defineand maintain a roadmap that meets business objectives while balancingresource availability and organizational capabilities.
• Driveroadmap execution by coordinating activities across the relevant technicalgroups and expertise centers.
• Representthe organization’s 2.5D and 3D expertise in discussions with internal andexternal stakeholders and support the development of new businessopportunities.
• Initiateand shape projects that bridge strategic technology gaps and createsynergies across programs.
• Workclosely with project leaders, managers, and experts to ensure successfuldelivery of roadmap milestones.
• Identifyorganizational, technical, or resource gaps that may jeopardize roadmapexecution and lead escalation activities when needed.
• Coach,mentor, and motivate key experts across the organization, fosteringcollaboration and enabling successful project execution.

Who you are

• You hold at least 15 years of experience insemiconductor R&D, with significant expertise in advanced packaging,2.5D integration, and/or 3D integration technologies.
• You have a proven track record of leadership,including at least 5 years of experience leading large teams, complexprograms, or major technology initiatives.
• You are passionate about emerging technologiesand motivated by the opportunity to shape their future.
• You possess deep technical expertise inadvanced packaging, 2.5D integration, and 3D integration technologies.
