Motherwell Bridge Industries Limited seeks a Diesel Engine Mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered equipment within the terminal. The role ensures safe, efficient operation of heavy machinery and continuous terminal operations.

You will work with the maintenance team to minimise downtime, perform routine servicing, diagnose faults, and carry out emergency repairs as needed while adhering to safety standards and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical technology or equivalent required.
• Ability to read drawings and manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines and terminal equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults with testing equipment.
• Perform engine overhauls and component replacements on diesel machinery.
• Inspect equipment for damage and take corrective action.
• Maintain maintenance records and comply with safety procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors to prioritise repairs and keep operations running.
