Job summary

Octave BricsCAD is a global technology company delivering CAD software across 80 countries. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to modernize our CI infrastructure, migrate to GitHub, and optimize the build pipeline to shorten the path from code to product.

You will design and maintain pipelines, update CMake configurations, and monitor system performance to drive efficiency. Hybrid work model in Ghent, Belgium.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related sciences.
• 3+ years of professional experience, preferably C++ (at least C++11).
• Ability to design and develop complex software.
• Mentor for junior colleagues.
• Excellent verbal/written communication in English.
• Eager to dive into modern technologies and tools for Octave BricsCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control practices (including SVN).
• Collaborate with Product Managers, tech leads, developers, and other R&D architects.

Responsibilities

• Build and modernize our CI infrastructure and setup.
• Smoothen integration of existing setup and migrate to GitHub.
• Build out pipelines and tools, update CMake configurations, and reduce build times.
• Migrate remaining SVN repositories to GitHub.
• Monitor running pipelines, highlight trends, and track metrics influencing roadmap.

We are looking for aDevOps Engineer to help us build and modernize our custom CIinfrastructure and setup. We movedafewyears agotoGitHub so oneof yourresponsibilitiesisto smoothen the integration of the existing setupandin a second stage to see what improvements we can make to the setup.

You help build out the tools that are used by the rest of our development team to ensure the road from code to product goes as smoothly as possible. This includes updating ourcustom-builtbuilding tool,maintainingand updatingCMakeconfigurations,analyzingand implementing solutions to bring the building time down as much as possible, complete the migration of remaining SVN repositories to GitHub.

Requirements

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or other (applied) sciences (or equivalent through experience)

• Strong knowledge of Git and version control best practices (including legacy tools like SVN)
• Collaborate with Product Managers, tech leads, developers, and other R&D architects
