Octave BricsCAD is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build and modernize our CI infrastructure. You will move our workflows to GitHub, integrate the existing setup, and identify improvements to speed up builds and reduce time to product.

You will develop tooling used by the dev team to streamline the path from code to product, update CMake configurations, and migrate SVN repos to GitHub while monitoring the system and presenting key metrics to guide our roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent through experience)
• 3+ years of professional experience, with strong C++ (at least C++11)
• Ability to design and develop complex software and mentor junior colleagues
• Strong knowledge of Git and SVN version control practices

We are looking for aDevOps Engineerto help us build and modernize our custom CIinfrastructure and setup.We movedafewyears agotoGitHub so oneof yourresponsibilitiesisto smoothen the integration of the existing setupandin a second stage to see what improvements we can make to the setup.

You help build out the tools that are used by the rest of our development team to ensure the road from code to product goes as smoothly as possible.This includes updating ourcustom-builtbuilding tool,maintainingand updatingCMakeconfigurations,analyzingand implementing solutions to bring the building time down as much as possible, complete the migration of remaining SVN repositories to GitHub.

Nextto building out the pipelines and tools you will alsomonitorand maintain the running setupand intervene in case of any hiccup.You will highlight meaningful trends andinsights andtrack key metrics which will influence our development process and roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or other (applied) sciences (or equivalent through experience)
• 3+ years of professional experience, preferably C++ (at least C++11)
• Ability to design as well as develop complex software
• Being a mentor for junior colleagues
• Eager to dive intomodern technologiesand tools that may contribute to the further development of ourOctave BricsCADsolution as a whole
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control best practices (including legacy tools like SVN)
• Collaborate with Product Managers, tech leads, developers, and other R&D architects

Knowledge of the following is a plus

• C++14/17
• Python
• Containerization
• Make,CMake,or other build systems for C/C++ projects
• Agilemethodology
• Staticcode analysers and code coverage tools
