Job summary

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a Deviation Specialist to join its team, working on biotech or pharmaceutical projects from process design to commissioning and participating in all project phases.

You will identify deviations, investigate root causes, implement CAPA, ensure GMP compliance, communicate with production and quality teams, and support continuous improvement, with travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, biotechnology, biological engineering or related field
• 3 to 6 years of experience
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical or biotech regulations and standards (mostly GMP)
• Analytical mindset, growing autonomy, and team spirit
• Willingness to travel to project sites

Responsibilities

• Identify, record, and track deviations in production.
• Investigate root causes and assess impact on product quality.
• Propose, implement, and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with GMP and internal procedures.
• Communicate with production and quality teams on deviation status.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce recurring incidents.
