Job summary

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join the Liège team. You will ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements across products and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include managing quality systems, reviewing contractor GMP compliance, batch release, and on-site audits. The role requires a Master’s degree in a life sciences/engineering field and at least 8 years of experience, with fluent French and professional English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in QA/regulatory in pharma or healthcare.
• Fluent in French with professional English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all aspects of product manufacturing and testing meet quality standards and regulatory approvals.
• Manage quality systems: change control, deviations, investigations.
• Review contractor quality standards and GMP compliance for materials and processing.
• Review batch abstracts to release products per approved specs.
• Monitor contractor compliance via GxP documentation and on-site audits.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Respond to technical and quality issues and manage schedule-related conflicts.
• Demonstrate understanding of regulations related to medicinal product manufacturing (biologics).
• Manage quality-system notifications between internal and external partners.
• Track contractor performance to establish KPIs and report adverse trends.
