IBA is seeking a Design Verification Engineer to design and upgrade the safety system integrated into its Proton Therapy solutions. You will merge system engineering, hardware, documentation and testing to verify product changes across the lifecycle.

You will define test procedures, maintain traceability, and translate system needs into clear design specifications. Expect up to 50% travel for on-site testing across Europe.

Mission

As a Design Verification Engineer, you will help design and upgrade the safety system integrated into IBA's Proton Therapy solutions. You will combine system engineering, hardware, documentation and testing activities to ensure that product changes are properly defined, implemented and verified throughout the product lifecycle

Challenges we trust you with

• Define and execute test procedures, expected results and supporting evidence.
• Maintain traceability between product changes, requirements, tests and results.
• Translate system needs into clear specifications for design teams.
• Coordinate hardware configurations and contribute to upgrades of the safety control unit and electrical cabinets.
• Assess the impact of architecture, automation and hardware choices, including the development of a more modular safety system.
• Maintain technical documentation, component data and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with System Expert, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Quality, Sourcing and other experts.
• Support on-site system testing, mainly in Europe. Travel may represent up to 50% of the role, usually for a few days to one week. Occasional night work may be required.

What We Value

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electromechanics, Control Systems or a related field.
• First relevant experience or two to three years in system engineering, verification, hardware, project engineering or automation.
• Broad technical understanding across electrical, mechanical and automation topics.
• Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time to support on-site system testing and implementation activities.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Rigorous, analytical and comfortable producing detailed documentation.
• Strong attention to detail when carrying out and following up on tasks;
• Proactive and autonomous: you seek information, ask questions and collaborate across teams.

Compensation Package

The total guaranteed annual compensation range (which includes annual base salary, as well as flexible budget if applicable, and car budget in specific locations) for this position is provided below:

The salary range indicated above is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements and reflects the typical compensation scope for this position based on the role's level of responsibility, required expertise, and location. The actual offer will be determined on an individual basis, taking into account objective and gender-neutral factors including relevant professional experience, qualifications, specific competencies, and internal equity. The range does not constitute a guaranteed salary and is subject to adjustment based on the final assessment of the selected candidate's profile. The role might also qualify for additional compensation elements such as variable pay, profit sharing, and benefits which are not reflected in this range.
