As Design Engineer in our Safety department you will contribute to our mission everyday by playing a crucial role in delivering services to our nuclear clients. The Core and Fuel Studies Group within the Nuclear Processes Competence Centre is a multidisciplinary team working on the nuclear fuel and the preparation of dismantling activities. The group is in charge of Tractebel activities related to the fuel cycle, core design, safety evaluation and core operational support for nuclear reactors for the Belgian Utility. It performs criticality and shielding calculations for the spent fuel, as well as activation calculations in support of waste characterization in preparation of dismantling activities. The group is subdivided into three operational subgroups:
The team is currently looking for a Design Engineer within the Neutronic studies & Tools sub-group, you will be in charge of various neutron studies and support the development of different in-house tools. While focused on neutron studies, the job includes a wide range of applications:
