NATO International Staff in Brussels is seeking a Defence Industry Capacity Officer to provide policy expertise on transatlantic defence industrial capacity and related EU policy initiatives. You will work across multiple stakeholders to ensure coherent policy options for the defence industrial base.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in researching, analysing and presenting data for strategic decision making.
• Excellent analytical and briefing skills (verbal and written) to distil complex policy issues.
• Solid knowledge of the defence industrial sector, EU policy initiatives, and current trends affecting the defence industrial bases.
• NATO official languages: advanced in one, elementary in the other.

Responsabilités

• Policy Development: Provide or coordinate advice on questions of international cooperation related to defence industry and defence industrial capacity; draft policy proposals and provide data-driven input to policy and strategy papers.
• Expertise Development: Develop and maintain expertise on current developments across Alliance defence industry policies; advise committees and groups supported by D2IA.
• Stakeholder Management: Build a broad network with industry, CNAD, NATO Agencies and other organisations; represent NATO at international events.
• Perform any other related duty as assigned
