Job summary

Orange Business is seeking a Techical Team Lead - Data Ops Engineering - Consultant in Brussels. This permanent role combines leadership of a data ops team with hands-on data engineering on cloud projects for diverse clients.

The candidate will mentor 10–15 consultants, shape team strategy, and drive delivery across data, analytics, and DevOps initiatives in a customer-focused consulting environment. Proficiency in French and/or Dutch plus English is valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as Data/DevOps/Software Engineer.
• Strong interest in data management (databases, ETL).
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Experience with deployment and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Airflow).

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: manage 10–15 consultants and foster team spirit.
• Define and implement the team strategy with Data & Cloud leads.
• Foster a positive, innovative culture and support consultant development.
• Recruit and align skills with company objectives and market needs.
• Support sales/pre-sales with staffing requests and innovative solutions.
• Optimize staffing based on performance and client needs.
• Contribute as a consultant on data engineering projects and delivery.
