Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Data Governance specialist to ensure governance, privacy, and data-related NFRs are addressed throughout the project and product lifecycle. You will organize intake sessions, advise on privacy, retention, data classification, and AI Governance, and facilitate governance workshops.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Privacy, or Information Management.
• Practical experience with Collibra.
• Knowledge of data-related NFRs and the data lifecycle.
• Experience supporting transformation initiatives in a corporate environment.
• Skills in governance reporting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Analytical, pragmatic, and solution-oriented.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead intake sessions with project teams to identify Data Governance requirements and data-related NFRs.
• Advise on governance requirements related to privacy, retention, data classification, and AI Governance.
• Facilitate workshops to assess governance risks and determine the required governance activities.
• Guide stakeholders in producing documentation and governance artefacts required by control functions such as DPO and Security.
• Coordinate follow-up actions and remediation plans with project teams and Product Managers.
• Identify recurring governance gaps and contribute to the continuous improvement of methodologies and standards.
• Support the maintenance and evolution of governance assets and workflows within Collibra.
