Kohera in Belgium is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Microsoft Fabric practice and translate business requirements into structured, scalable data solutions validated with stakeholders.
You will manage ETL/ELT processes, create data integrations, pipelines and models, support migrations to Fabric, and build Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions while ensuring data quality and reliability across the platform.
We are wizards who turn data into knowledge. We execute E2E projects in team and work as consultants for various clients (and sectors) – partly on-site/partly from home – to assist them with Microsoft data solutions. Our credo is to empower every professional to make the best data-driven decision. Transforming data into usable knowledge is something you have right at your fingertips.
Within this role, you will contribute to data engineering activities in Microsoft Fabric environments, translating business requirements into structured and scalable data solutions and validating them with stakeholders.
You will primarily be using Microsoft Fabric to build, modernise and migrate data platforms, potentially in combination with other Microsoft services such as Azure Data Factory, Power BI and Databricks, depending on the customer environment.
Project-based or long-term assignments, all options are on the table. Depending on the assignment, you may be working on your own or in a team, taking care of the project management yourself or not. Participating in pre-sales is also a possibility. The trump cards of this job are variety and continuous learning through experience.
The roles within assignments and their complexity will be tailored to you: sufficiently challenging for learning and not over your head. If you demonstrate a keenness to learn, independence and initiative, you will be absolutely fine. Don’t forget that you have a team of helpful Koherians standing behind you who will be happy to help you and facilitate your development.
Fluency in Dutch and English is a must, and fluency in French would be a bonus.
