Job summary

Us3 Ltd in Brussels is seeking a Data Engineer for a 12+ month contract. The role combines building data pipelines and data models with developing high-performance Power BI reports for users, including leveraging semantic models.

Interviews are scheduled for November 17 and 25 at client offices in Brussels. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in data engineering, expertise in ETL, DBT, Azure data stack, REST APIs, and a strong grasp of data governance and security principles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.

For one of the leading clients, we’re hiring a Data Engineer for a 12+ months contract in Brussels. Dutch Speaking.

We are looking for an experienced data professional who excels in both backend data engineering and unlocking data via semantic models and Power BI reporting. The role combines building robust data pipelines and data models with developing high-performance and user-friendly reports for our users. In the context of this request, two dates have already been scheduled for interviews with shortlisted candidates: on November 17 and 25 in the morning at the client offices in Brussels

• 5+ years of demonstrable experience as a Data Engineer
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience with developing and maintaining data pipelines
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for developing data flows and ETL processes
• Demonstrable experience building reports/dashboards on Power BI
• Demonstrable basic knowledge of Agile development methodology
• Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
• Demonstrable experience with databases
• Demonstrable experience with DBT or analytics engineering concepts
• Demonstrable experience with Git and versioning workflows.
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Fabric or the Azure data stack (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse).
• Demonstrable experience with REST APIs
• Demonstrable knowledge of data quality, data governance, and security principles
