VIB in Ghent is seeking a Data Engineer to turn data from diverse business systems into reliable, reusable data solutions that support reporting, analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will develop and maintain scalable pipelines, model data for analytical consumption, collaborate with analysts and application teams, and contribute to a modern data platform built around Microsoft Fabric while embracing best practices for security, quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Experience designing data pipelines and data models.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines and transformations.
• Build and maintain data integrations from multiple sources into the data platform.
• Model data for analytical consumption using data warehouse and lakehouse principles.
• Create reusable data products supporting multiple reporting use cases.
• Ensure maintainability, security, and observability of data solutions.
