Job summary

Delen Private Bank seeks a Data Engineer to join its Data, Analytics & Reporting team in Antwerp. You will design and maintain scalable data products, ensuring data and metadata accessibility for AI and RAG workflows.

The role emphasizes reliability, security and collaboration with engineers, analysts and business stakeholders in an agile setting. You will work on data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines and embedding pipelines, with focus on delivering valuable data solutions for discretionary wealth

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, AI or equivalent.
• 4+ years as a Data Engineer with AI exposure in a professional setting.
• Strong Python and SQL expertise plus ETL/ELT experience.
• Experience with scalable data stacks: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Delta Lake or Iceberg.
• Proficiency with Elasticsearch or vector databases and embedding pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data products for reporting, analytics and AI.
• Ensure data, metadata and semantics are accessible to AI applications.
• Apply parsing, chunking, embedding and indexing for RAG workflows.
• Implement AI solutions to automate data processes and improve retrieval.
• Monitor data solutions daily for stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Automate data quality controls based on data contracts.
• Develop data models aligned with business definitions and core processes.
