Infogene Belgium (Vulcain Engineering Group) is seeking a Data & AI Engineer to design, build and optimize data platforms and pipelines for analytics, reporting and advanced decision-making. You will support digital transformation across energy, life sciences and industrial sectors, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling and governance, with a focus on cloud platforms and data solutions

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, data engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years hands-on data engineering experience.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Contribute to modern data platforms in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security and governance across the data ecosystem.
• Develop data models to support reporting, analytics and ML use cases.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Solution Architects, Project Managers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Monitor, optimize and continuously improve data solutions and platform performance.
• Contribute to data engineering best practices, including architecture, code quality and documentation.

Infogene Belgium (Vulcain engineering Group) is looking for a Data & AI Engineer to join its teams.

In this role, you will design, build and optimize modern data platforms and pipelines that enable organizations to leverage data for analytics, reporting and advanced decision-making.

You will support digital transformation initiatives across the Energy, Life Sciences and Industrial sectors, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and business stakeholders.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and reliable data pipelines
• Build and optimize ETL / ELT processes to integrate data from multiple sources
• Contribute to the implementation and evolution of modern data platforms in cloud environments
• Ensure data quality, reliability, security and governance across the data ecosystem
• Develop data models to support reporting, analytics and machine learning use cases
• Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Solution Architects, Project Managers and Business Stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions. Monitor, optimize and continuously improve data solutions and platform performance
• Contribute to data engineering best practices, including architecture, code quality and technical documentation

ABOUT YOU

• Master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or related field
• Between 3 and 8 years of hands‑on experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration or Data Platform projects.
• Good understanding of cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS and/or GCP)
• Comfortable working in collaborative and agile environments
• Professional proficiency in English is required. Fluency in French and/or Dutch is highly appreciated.
• Experience within Energy, Utilities, Life Sciences or Industrial environments is considered a strong asset.
• Plus to have : Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory / Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, ETL / ELT, Spark
