nTech Workforce is seeking a Data Center & IT Field Operations Technician to own data center operations, plan cabling and rack layouts, and resolve hardware issues. The role includes hands-on maintenance of servers and storage, SAN zoning, and VMware ESXi deployment, with out-of-band management on Dell/HPE systems.

Occasional travel to regional offices supports IT infrastructure needs. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in data centers, strong networking basics, and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in data center environments or IT field support.
• Hands-on experience with Dell and HPE server hardware and storage arrays.
• Experience configuring out-of-band management interfaces (iDRAC, iLO) and VMware ESXi.

Responsabilités

• Take complete operational ownership of the data center and coordinate cable planning and rack layout.
• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshoot server and storage hardware failures.
• Inspect and resolve physical wiring issues for Ethernet and fiber.
• Perform SAN zoning on Cisco MDS switches to connect storage and servers.
• Install and configure VMware virtualization environments.
• Set up and maintain out-of-band management on Dell and HPE servers.
• Image, configure, and deploy Windows 10 and 11 workstations.
• Manage hardware consoles via serial communications.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs of control rooms to support shift managers.
