Fujitsu is seeking an experienced Freelance Data Analytics Engineer in Belgium to join a hybrid data environment. You will bridge business, data engineering, and reporting across the full data lifecycle, building robust pipelines and models with Power BI, SQL, dbt, and Data Vault 2.0.

The role focuses on data ingestion, quality, performance tuning, and translating business requirements into reliable data solutions within an Agile/Scrum setting.

Are you an experienced Data Analytics Engineer who enjoys working with data, analytics, and building high-performing data solutions?

For a leading organisation, we are looking for a hands-on Data Analytics Engineer who can bridge the gap between business, data engineering, and reporting.

You will be involved throughout the entire data lifecycle, from data analysis and modelling to data ingestion, orchestration, quality assurance, and performance optimisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines
• Integrating data from various source systems
• Working in a hybrid data environment combining on-premises EDW and cloud
• Developing data models based on Kimball and Data Vault 2.0
• Working with SQL, dbt, Power BI, and DAX
• Contributing to data quality and performance tuning
• Working with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks
• Translating business requirements into reliable data solutions
• Collaborating within an Agile/Scrum environment

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced professional who is strong in both technology and business.

Must-haves:

• Proven recent experience as a Data Analytics / Analytics Engineer
• Proven experience in Power BI Business Analysis
• Expert-level SQL
• Expert-level Power BI
• Experience with dbt
• Experience with Kimball dimensional modelling
• Strong knowledge of Data Vault 2.0
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data mapping, and data pipelines
• Knowledge of DAX, Python, and Jinja
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Dutch or French: professional level – MUST
• English: professional working proficiency – MUST

A Master's degree and relevant certifications such as Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Fundamentals, dbt Fundamentals, or Scrum PO are a strong plus.
