Vivid Resourcing is helping a Leuven-based client find a Data and Analytics Engineer (Mid/Senior) for a hybrid role. You’ll transform messy data into trusted models, build scalable data products, and work across data engineering, analytics, and AI initiatives.

You’ll operate in a Microsoft-centric stack (Azure, Databricks, Fabric), craft semantic models, and define data contracts to ensure consistent metrics across BI tools.

Qualifications

• Experience turning raw data into reliable, business-ready data products.
• Ability to design dimensional and semantic models for analytics.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft data stack and modern ELT pipelines.

Data and Analytics Engineer (Mid/Senior) – Hybrid, Leuven

About the client-

Your mission-

As an Data and Analytics Engineer, you'll turn raw, messy data into reliable, well-modeled, business-ready data products. Sitting at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, you'll work directly with stakeholders to sharpen business logic and translate it into scalable data models, semantic layers, and reusable transformation pipelines, the foundation dashboards, self-service analytics, and AI initiatives depend on. You'll own the full journey from raw source to trusted metric: modeling, testing, documentation, and governance included.

The tech side-

You'll work across the modern Microsoft-centric data stack, Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric, building version-controlled, SQL-first transformation pipelines with dbt. You'll design dimensional and semantic models, set up automated testing and CI/CD for data, and help define metrics layers and data contracts that keep definitions consistent across BI tools and downstream AI/ML use cases, all built on reference architectures and reusable frameworks rather than one-off solutions.
