Job summary

Daikin Europe NV in Oostkamp is seeking a Data & Analytics Architect to lead data insights, governance and Gen AI roadmaps across Europe. You will design proposals on the Azure/Databricks/Power BI platform, coordinate internal and external IT colleagues, and collaborate with the Business Analytics team to standardise pan-European reports.

After onboarding, you will drive innovation, run PoCs, present to management and travel occasionally to Daikin group sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, engineering, computer science or equal.
• Academic knowledge and a first experience in data analytics, architecture or BI is a plus.
• Analytical and innovative spirit and interest in company processes.
• Strong focus on the most recent IT innovations.
• Solution-oriented mind-set and drive to continuously improve.
• Self-discipline to plan and follow up.
• Team player with good communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Daikin group.
• Fluency in English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements for management reporting and data insights across business areas.
• Draft implementation proposals for Azure/Databricks & Power BI platform or newer niche technologies.
• Manage and document data assets, governance, and data monetisation ideas.
• Explore latest technologies to address big data challenges and enable AI/ML capabilities.
• Run proofs of concept to demonstrate business value.
• Lead analytics projects and coordinate internal and external IT teams.
• Collaborate with Business Analytics to standardise pan-European reports.
• Co-draft the Generative AI roadmap for Daikin Europe.
• Present area of expertise to key users and management.
• Work with Enterprise Architect team within IT Planning.
