Overview

As a Data Analyst at Cloubis, you translate business questions into performant, reliable, and reusable analytics solutions. You contribute to building the semantic layer (Fabric IQ), deliver high-quality Power BI experiences with Copilot (Work IQ), and enable customers to make data-driven decisions independently. You work within one of our industry verticals and adopt a customer-zero mindset when validating and applying new analytics patterns.

What will you do?

• Stakeholder & Collaboration
  • Interviews business stakeholders, identifies information needs, and translates them into KPIs and data definitions.
  • Works in cross-functional teams together with Data Engineers (data foundation), AI Engineers (Foundry IQ), and Sales (use-case shaping).
  • Guides end users in self-service analytics using Power BI Copilot and M365 Copilot.
• Core Focus — Analytics & Semantic Models
  • Builds and maintains semantic models in Microsoft Fabric (Direct Lake, star schemas, DAX measures, RLS).
  • Designs scalable and high-performing Power BI reports with a strong focus on data storytelling and user experience.
  • Defines metric and data contracts to ensure consistent business definitions across the organization (Fabric IQ).
  • Performs exploratory analyses to uncover patterns, opportunities, and risks for customers.
• Cross-Role Data & AI Chain
  • Connects semantic models to AI applications (Foundry IQ) as grounding sources for agents and copilots.
  • Collaborates with Data Engineers on high-quality, AI-ready datasets and with AI Engineers on domain language for agents.
  • Contributes to Managed Reporting as a Service (MRaaS) and Data Quality Monitoring as a Service initiatives.
• Operationalization & Responsible AI
  • Monitors data quality and flags inconsistencies between dashboards and source systems.
  • Builds audit-friendly reports with attention to privacy, RLS, and sensitivity labels (Purview).
  • Applies Power BI Copilot within responsible AI boundaries (GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Customer-Zero & Industry Specialization
  • Applies new Fabric and Copilot features internally before introducing them to customers.
  • Specializes in one industry vertical (Transport & Logistics, Finance, Sustainability, or Port & Logistics).
  • Builds industry-specific metric templates and visualization patterns.
• Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
  • Documents measures, data lineage, and assumptions to ensure knowledge transferability.
  • Provides trainings and demos for customers and colleagues and shares best practices.
  • Contributes to the Cloubis portfolio of reusable templates and accelerators.

Technology & Tooling

• Microsoft Fabric: OneLake, Lakehouse, Direct Lake, Dataflows, and Notebooks
• Power BI (Desktop, Service, Mobile), including Power BI Copilot
• DAX, SQL, and basic Python for data exploration
• Microsoft 365 Copilot, Excel, and PowerPoint for stakeholder communication
• Purview for governance, data lineage, and sensitivity labels
• GitHub and Azure DevOps for version control of reporting code

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Economics, or equivalent through experience
• Experience with SQL or Python
• Experience with DAX and/or Power Query
• Knowledge of data modelling
• Strong experience with visualization tools in a business environment (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QlikSense)
• Problem analysis and problem-solving are second nature to you
• You can explain even the most complex concepts in a way your grandmother would immediately understand.
