Stott and May is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Management & Security Infrastructure Engineer to own the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle in Brussels on-site, with a contract arrangement. You will automate remediation processes across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments, coordinating with diverse teams and external vendors to drive risk reduction.

The role requires strong Linux/Windows/VMware ESXi administration, scripting in Python/Bash, and experience with scanners, SIEM, and ticketing

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT with at least 5 years in vulnerability management or security infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Rapid7 Nexpose or Nessus, Splunk, and ServiceNow or Jira
• Strong Linux, Windows and VMware ESXi administration skills; TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, encryption/auth protocols
• Strong scripting and automation in Python and Bash; Java, Go or Rust are a plus
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or OVH) with Terraform and Ansible; familiarity with DevSecOps, Docker/Kubernetes
• At least one cybersecurity certification plus one engineering, architecture, programming or product certification (mandatory)
• English at C1 level. French or another EU language is an advantage

Responsabilités

• Run the full vulnerability lifecycle, from identification, assessment and prioritisation through remediation tracking and verification.
• Build Python/Bash automation and API integrations that connect scanners, SIEM, ticketing and infrastructure tools.
• Deploy, manage and harden Linux, Windows and VMware ESXi servers, plus network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, VPN gateways).
• Coordinate remediation with infrastructure, development, cloud, SOC and compliance teams and with external vendors.
• Produce vulnerability reports, remediation plans, dashboards and KPI reporting for stakeholders and management.
• Design and deploy scalable infrastructure and services that support threat and vulnerability data.
• Write clear technical documentation and operational procedures, and automate responses to recurring issues.

Senior Vulnerability Management & Security Infrastructure Engineer

Brussels, Belgium (on-site) | Contract

We're looking for a senior engineer for a large international public-sector organisation in Brussels. You'll own vulnerability management end to end and automate the processes around it across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.

What you'll do

1. Run the full vulnerability lifecycle, from identification, assessment and prioritisation through remediation tracking and verification.

What you'll bring

2. Hands-on experience with Rapid7 Nexpose or Nessus, Splunk, and ServiceNow or Jira.
3. Deep Linux, Windows and VMware ESXi administration skills, and strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs and encryption and authentication protocols.
4. Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and Bash; Java, Go or Rust are a plus.
5. Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or OVH) with Terraform and Ansible, and familiarity with DevSecOps, Docker/Kubernetes and message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
6. At least one cybersecurity certification plus one engineering, architecture, programming or product certification (mandatory).
7. English at C1 level. French or another EU language is an advantage.
