EKXEL IT Services & Financial Engineering is seeking an experienced ICT security professional in Belgium to lead vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and vulnerability management across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include designing secure architectures, deploying scanning tools, analyzing vulnerabilities, and delivering actionable reports to senior management and the SOC. Strong communication, leadership, and English skills are essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters degree and at least one ICT Security professional certification are required.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity methodologies, processes, tools and frameworks, including emerging threats.
• 6 years of professional relevant experience, including vulnerability assessment and penetration testing for on-premises and cloud architectures, vulnerability management and reporting, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

Job Description:

Expertise in ICT Security. Security assurance: vulnerability assessment, pen-test, vulnerability management;

Developing and disseminating impactful Cyber Threat Information (CTI) in the face of millions of indicators and alerts and delivering actionable cyber threat information to the client's senior management and the Cybersecurity Operations Centre (SOC). The essential tasks are:

• Define and review architectures for security systems;
• Assess security settings on various kinds of IT applications and components;
• Perform penetration tests and assessments of the security posture of various types of systems and applications.
• Support the deployment of vulnerability scanning systems in cloud and on-prem architectures;
• Analyse the content of the detected vulnerabilities and propose patching solutions;
• Administer and configure the vulnerability scanning and vulnerability management tools;
• Contribute to the writing of reports for system owners, middle and senior management;
• Analyse the logs when needed and follow the support process to obtain solutions for bugs and issues with the managed systems;
• Contribute to presentations on the capabilities of vulnerability scanning tools;
• Provide support for remediating Security vulnerabilities or issues;
• Design and program python scripts to ensure connectivity with other platforms and systems;
• Assess security

Requirements

• What do you need to succeed in this position?
• A Masters degree and at least one ICT Security professional certification is also required.
• In-depth knowledge of methodologies, processes, tools and frameworks on cybersecurity, including the emerging threats
• 6 years of professional relevant experience, including:
• Vulnerability assessment and penetration test tools and techniques for on premises and Cloud architectures;
• Vulnerability management and reporting systems including process automation;
• Cloud based architectures (e.g. Azure, AWS)
• Operating Systems Security (Linux, Windows)
• SDLC;
• DevSecOps;
• Programming in python and Java;
• Conducting applications penetration tests;
• Attack techniques
• Good communication skills, ability to lead multi-lingual meetings and to do presentations to managers, technical staff and also end-users in the context of user awareness activities
• Leadership, autonomy and commitment to increasing maturity
• A fluency in the English language (both oral and written) is expected. French is an asset
