Pauwels Consulting seeks a Security Operations Specialist to monitor, assess, and remediate security incidents across digital infrastructure. You will run vulnerability analyses, advise on secure coding, and support cloud security initiatives in an Agile setting.

The role requires hands-on experience with web security, scripting, and RESTful APIs, plus fluency in English and Dutch. Onsite work in Leuven with a full-time regime is expected.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in Information Security with focus on vulnerability and incident management.
• Solid understanding of web security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with scripting (Python or Bash) for automation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud security and log analysis in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Our client, a prominent organization in the financial services sector, is looking for a dedicated specialist to join their security operations. This role focuses on proactive and reactive monitoring, vulnerability management, and the remediation of security breaches to safeguard digital infrastructure.

• Conduct in-depth risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across digital infrastructure.
• Perform security assessments on web applications and APIs to identify threats like SQL Injection and XSS.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security incidents within the SOC environment.
• Maintain security monitoring tools and analyze log data to identify anomalies.
• Advise development teams on secure coding practices and internal security policies.
• Document security breaches and perform forensic analysis to assess potential damage.

• You have 3+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on vulnerability management and incident management.
• You possess a solid understanding of web security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• You bring experience with scripting using Python or Bash for automation and data analysis.
• You have knowledge of front-end development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and RESTful APIs.
• You possess familiarity with cloud security and log analysis within Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• You have experience working within Agile methodologies.
• You're proactive, analytical, and possess strong decision-making skills.
• You are fluent in English and Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with SCA, SAST, DAST, or VMDR tooling.
• Previous experience as a Security Champion for a specific technology.
• Willingness to perform forensic analysis and improve monitoring systems.
