Spektrum Labs, Inc. is seeking a cybersecurity analyst to perform initial triage and analysis of security events across the network, escalating and supporting incident response as needed.

The role requires a university degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, plus hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows/Linux, and SIEM/NIDS tools. You will analyze logs and network traffic, present findings with remediation recommendations, and contribute to security investigations within the Cyber

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical/IT subject + 1+ year cyber security analysis experience, OR 3+ years relevant experience without a degree
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer/communications security principles, TCP/IP networking, Windows and Linux operating systems
• Broad understanding of network security threats and mitigation techniques
• Experience with SIEM products (e.g. ArcSight, Splunk)
• Experience analysing NIDS events (e.g. SourceFire, Palo Alto Network Threat Prevention)
• Log analysis from firewalls, proxies, routers, DNS, and other security appliances
• Network traffic capture analysis using Wireshark
• Logical, structured approach to security investigations using large/complex datasets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in a team

Responsabilités

• Present findings in a clear, structured format with remediation recommendations
• Conduct research and assessments of security events within the Cyber Security Centre
• Analyse firewall, IDS, anti-virus, and other network sensor-produced events
• Leverage extended toolset (log collection, intrusion detection, packet capture, vulnerability assessment, network devices) to enhance investigations
• Support the end-to-end Incident Handling process
• Propose optimisations and enhancements to improve the organisation's cyber security posture

Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.

To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.

Role Background
