Job summary

WLG in Mons, Belgium, seeks a senior hands-on cyber security engineer to deliver end-to-end capabilities: plan changes, build and test them, document, and hand over to operations on site with occasional travel.

You will install and test network tapping and aggregation, deploy vulnerability assessment, forensics and monitoring tools, and advise on security architecture and tool integration across Cisco/Juniper, Linux and Windows environments.

Qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on cyber security engineering.
• Broad working knowledge of boundary protection: firewalls, IDS/IPS, traffic aggregation, data diodes, encryption, identity and access management
• Recent experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, web proxies, Splunk, Tenable.SC, Nessus and Fidelis
• Infrastructure design skills across routing, switching and VMware virtualisation
• A track record of delivering security capabilities into live operational environments - installation through to handover
• Excellent English, written and spoken, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent depth of experience
• Nice to have: work for or alongside military or government organisations

Security tools only protect anything once they are properly installed, tuned and handed over. A multinational defence organisation in Mons needs a senior, hands‑on engineer to deliver its cyber security capabilities end to end: plan the change, build and test it, document it, and hand it to the people who will run it. On site, with occasional travel to other locations.
