Solhyd seeks a Customer Project Manager to lead hydrogen projects from initial technical discussions to long-term operation. You will plan feasibility studies, manage permitting and commissioning, and maintain relationships with partners and customers in Europe.

Fluent Dutch and English are essential; travel across Europe will be regular. With a master’s degree in engineering and 3+ years in project management or technical sales, you will combine credibility with strong organizational skills in

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience in project management, technical sales or another customer facing role.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with technical credibility.
• Experience managing projects in energy/chemical/Process industries; familiarity with FEL stages.
• PM certification (PMP/IPMA) a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Europe (multi-day trips per month).
• Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of other languages a plus.
• Tender experience is a strong plus.

• Plan and follow up on project preparation, safety studies, permitting, installation and commissioning.
• Safeguard timing, budget and quality, and inform the customer at every step.
• Build relationships with system integration partners, EPCs and suppliers; ensure integration into larger hydrogen projects.
• Remain account manager after commissioning; organize periodic check-ins and spot opportunities for expansion; work with service team.
• Coordinate customer feasibility studies (FEL0-FEL2) with engineering support.
• Guide customers through regulatory landscape; follow permits; subsidy files and RFNBO certification.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Director and System Engineer; report to Business Development Director.

We are lookingfor a committed Customer Project Manager who guides our customers from thefirst technical discussions all the way to the successful long-term operationof their hydrogen projects.

What does this mean in practice

You ensure customerproject success over its entire lifetime.

• Youplan and follow up on project preparation, safety studies, permitting,installation and commissioning.
• Yousafeguard timing, budget and quality, and keep the customer informed at everystep.
• Youbuild relationships with system integration partners, EPCs and suppliers ofdownstream equipment (purification, compression, storage), ensuring ourtechnology integrates smoothly into larger hydrogen projects.
• Aftercommissioning, you remain the account manager: you are the escalation point,organize periodic check-ins and spot opportunities for expansion. You workclosely with our service team, who handle technical support and interventions.

You perform project pre-studies.

• Togetherwith our Business Development Director, you step into customer conversationsonce a project starts taking shape in the funnel.
• Youvisit prospects on site and translate their situation and needs into a feasibleproject concept.
• Youcoordinate customer feasibility studies (FEL0-FEL2), with the support of yourengineering colleagues.

You guide customersthrough the regulatory landscape.

• Youfollow up on permits and make sure regulatory or safety requirements are met.
• You answercustomers’ questions about subsidy files and RFNBO certification.

You work closelywith the Business Development Director and the System Engineer in acollaborative environment and report directly to the Business DevelopmentDirector.

Who you are

• Youhold a master's degree in engineering or equivalent through experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in project management, technical sales or another customer facing role is a must.
• Youcombine technical credibility with strong communication and organizationalskills: customers trust you, and nothing falls through the cracks.
• Youhave experience in managing projects in the energy, chemical or processindustry, and you are familiar with staged project development (FEL /stage-gate). You know what belongs in a concept study versus a basic design,and how a project matures from feasibility to execution. Project managementcertification (e.g. PMP, IPMA) is a plus.
• Tender experience is a strong plus.
• Affinitywith regulatory topics such as permitting, subsidies or certification (e.g.RFNBO) is a plus; you will grow into the details on the job.
• Youwould like to work on an innovative and ambitious project that makes asustainable energy transition contribution to the world.
• Youvisit customers regularly and are willing to travel within Europe, towards afew multi-day trips per month as our project portfolio grows.
• Youare practical and flexible enough to work on a range of different tasks. Youlove a dynamic startup environment which is constantly evolving.
• Youcommunicate fluently in Dutch and English (oral and written). Knowledge ofother languages (Spanish, German, French) is a plus.
