Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a senior leader to head sales for Belgium. You will own the country strategy, translate vision into commercial plans, and manage inside and field sales teams across multiple pillars.

You will build a high-performing organization, drive data-driven and AI-assisted performance, and lead through change with accountability for results and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in sales/commercial roles, with leadership experience.
• English fluency; native French or Dutch speaker with NL/FR fluency is an advantage.

• Commercial, data-driven and AI-focused mindset; turning insights into actions.

About this role

As Country Head of Sales , you will lead the commercial organisation for Belgium and play a key role in shaping and delivering our country strategy.

You will own the overall sales strategy, translating our country vision and business priorities into clear commercial plans and strong execution. You will lead several commercial pillars, including Acquisition, Account Management, Strategic Accounts and Grocery & Retail , with responsibility for both inside and field sales teams as well as supporting commercial teams.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines strong commercial thinking with proven people leadership . You will set direction, raise performance standards and build a high-performing organisation, while continuously looking for better, smarter and more innovative ways of working.

The role also requires someone who is comfortable leading through change. You will help your teams adapt to evolving priorities, ways of working and market dynamics, while keeping them focused, engaged and accountable for results.

• Own and drive the country sales strategy, aligned with the overall country vision and business strategy, translating it into clear priorities, targets and action plans.
• Lead and develop the commercial organisation, including Acquisition, Account Management, Strategic Accounts and Grocery & Retail, across inside sales, field sales and supporting teams.
• Build a high-performing sales culture, setting clear expectations, coaching leaders and teams, developing talent and creating strong accountability for results.
• Drive commercial performance, using data, AI, market insights and customer knowledge to identify opportunities, address gaps and continuously improve performance.
• Lead through change and transformation, bringing teams along with new strategies, processes, tools and ways of working.
• Challenge the status quo and drive innovation, constantly looking for new ways to improve sales effectiveness, customer value and commercial impact.
• Work closely with the Country Management Team and global/regional Sales organisation to align priorities, share best practices and ensure strong execution of the country strategy.
• Build strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners, understanding their needs and creating opportunities for sustainable, mutual growth.
• Own and drive the country sales strategy, aligned with the overall country vision and business strategy, translating it into clear priorities, targets and action plans.
• Own budget, forecasting and performance management, ensuring accurate visibility on commercial performance and taking action to deliver against and, where possible, exceed targets.

What will you bring to the table?

• 10+ years of experience in sales/commercial roles , including significant experience leading and developing sales teams.
• Fluency in English required; native French or Dutch speaker, fluency in both NL/FR is a strong advantage
• Experience defining and executing a sales strategy at country, regional or business-unit level , ideally in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Strong people leadership skills, with experience leading managers, developing talent and building high-performing teams .
• A commercial, data-driven and AI-focused mindset , with the ability to turn insights into clear priorities and actions.
• A strong track record of challenging existing ways of working and driving continuous improvement and innovation and leading teams through change.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior leadership, global teams and external partners.
• Strong customer and partner orientation, with a clear understanding of how to create commercial value.
• A hands-on, pragmatic leadership style. You are comfortable setting the direction, but equally comfortable getting the hands dirty when needed.
