JOBTAILOR in Genk, Belgium, is seeking a financial professional to drive cost control and reporting. You will analyze budget variances, advise budget holders, and identify opportunities to optimize costs. You will contribute to monthly closings with a focus on production costs and SG&A, report group results and KPIs, ensure internal controls, and translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders. Dutch and English fluency required; SAP/Power BI experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree in a financial field.
• Experience as a controller or in audit preferred.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyzing budget variances and challenging or advising budget holders
• Identifying opportunities to optimize costs and implementing these improvements
• Actively contributing to the monthly closing process, with a focus on production costs and SG&A
• Reporting monthly group results and various KPIs
• Ensuring all processes comply with J-SOX and other internal control frameworks
• Translating complex financial data into clear and actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders

Requirements

• Higher education degree in a financial field
• Preferably, you have initial experience as a controller or within audit
• Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with SAP and Power BI is a strong asset
• Critical and proactive mindset; not afraid to challenge the status quo
• Strong communication skills and the ability to persuade
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to separate key issues from less relevant details
• A team player who contributes to an open, constructive, and positive team atmosphere
