UCB S.A. in Brussels, Belgium, is seeking a Corporate Treasury & Funding Lead who is strategic yet hands-on, collaborative and analytical to join our Treasury and Insurance team, based in our headquarters in Brussels.

You will shape and maintain global funding capabilities, lead funding transactions and support a broad range of treasury activities and strategic projects across international affiliates.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, law or related discipline.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with ownership and initiative.
• Extensive experience in corporate treasury, funding and debt documentation in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of debt capital markets, loan markets, financing instruments and derivatives.
• Proven ability to review and negotiate complex financing and treasury documents with commercial judgement.
• Experience identifying financial exposures, developing hedge strategies and IFRS knowledge.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

We are looking for a Corporate Treasury & Funding Lead who is strategic yet hands-on, collaborative and analytical to join us in our Treasury and Insurance team, based in our headquarters office in Brussels, Belgium.

About the role

In support of UCB's continued growth, we are strengthening our Treasury and Insurance team with the creation of this additional role. As a key member of the team, you will help shape and maintain UCB's global funding capabilities while supporting a broad range of treasury activities and strategic projects.

Who you’ll work with

You will be working in a team that partners closely with various Finance, Legal and business teams as well as local affiliates. You will report to the Head of Treasury and Insurance and collaborate with senior Finance leaders, while building and maintaining trusted relationships with key banking partners and other stakeholders. As a team player, you also seek to share expertise and help colleagues grow.

What you’ll do

• Maintain and enhance strategic funding frameworks and related documentation across debt capital markets, loan markets and other financing platforms, ensuring continued financing flexibility.
• Lead or support major funding, refinancing, liability management and working capital transactions, including the structuring, execution and negotiation of financing arrangements and related treasury arrangements.
• Support capital structure decisions and engagement with external stakeholders.

In addition to your core funding responsibilities, you will contribute to a broad range of corporate treasury activities, including:

• Contributing treasury expertise and support to M&A, business development, corporate finance, treasury projects and other strategic initiatives,
• Advising on financial risk management matters, including identification and assessment of financial exposures (primarily foreign exchange, interest rate and equity exposures) and development of appropriate hedging recommendations,
• Supporting treasury activities across international affiliates, including capital structures, banking arrangements, guarantees, cash centralization and intercompany financing,
• Treasury controlling activities, including financial results, cash flow and capital structure forecasting, treasury reporting and governance support.

• A master’s degree in finance, economics, business, law or another relevant discipline.
• A proactive and self-driven mindset, with the ability to take ownership, anticipate stakeholder needs and drive initiatives to completion.
• Extensive experience in corporate treasury, funding and debt documentation in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of debt capital markets, loan markets, financing instruments, financial derivatives and valuation.
• Proven experience in reviewing and negotiating complex financing and treasury documentation, supported by strong legal acumen and commercial judgement.
• Experience identifying financial exposures, developing hedge strategies and applying relevant International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working independently and across functions.
