Avenga seeks an experienced Contract Manager to govern contractual performance and interface with the contractor and consortium members throughout mobilisation, steady-state and exit, in a high-impact European aviation environment.

You will manage SLAs, KPIs and risk, lead governance boards, and ensure compliance and effective stakeholder communication across international teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience (8+ years) in contract management or service delivery governance.
• Experience with regulated, mission-critical environments (aviation or critical infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, SLAs, KPIs, and contract lifecycle management.
• Experience in multi-supplier delivery models and subcontractor governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, ideally international.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe delivery environments is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (ITIL, PRINCE2, MSP) are advantageous.
• Fluent English; French is an advantage.

As a Contract Manager, you will ensure effective contractual governance, oversight of service delivery obligations, and a consistent, professional interface throughout the full contract lifecycle—from mobilisation through to steady-state and exit—within a high-impact European aviation environment.

This is you

• Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in contract management, service delivery governance, or account management for large, complex outsourcing or managed-service contracts.
• Proven track record managing contracts in regulated, mission-critical, or safety-critical environments (e.g. aviation, ATM, transport, defence, critical infrastructure).
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, SLA/KPI management, and contract lifecycle management (mobilisation, steady-state, transition, exit).
• Experience operating within consortium or multi-supplier delivery models, including subcontractor governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, ideally in an international/EU institutional context.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe delivery environments and mixed-team operating models is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications an advantage (e.g. ITIL, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent contract/service management qualifications).
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French an advantage

This is your role

• Single Interface: Act as the single, exclusive contractual interface between the Contractor (and any consortium members/subcontractors).
• Governance Framework: Own and maintain the overall governance framework, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly assigned across all delivery parties.
• Steering & Escalation: Chair or co-chair contract governance boards and steering committees; manage escalation paths between strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
• Compliance Oversight: Oversee contractual compliance, including adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality/security/assurance obligations defined in the contract schedules.
• Operational Alignment: Coordinate with the Service Manager to ensure operational delivery performance is monitored, reported, and continuously improved.
• Risk & Change Management: Manage commercial and contractual risk, including change control, variations, and dispute resolution.
• Consortium Coordination: Ensure coherent, harmonised governance across all consortium members and subcontracted parties, with no more than two levels of subcontracting.
• Reporting: Report regularly on contract status, risks, and performance, including preparation of governance reporting packs.
• Lifecycle Support: Support transition-in and transition-out phases from a contractual and governance standpoint.
