Job summary

Engibex, a Belgian engineering consulting firm, is seeking a senior RF systems engineer to design and optimize RF systems and components for satellite telecom payloads.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in telecommunication systems, RF electronics or antenna.
• Experience with RF simulation and modeling tools (HFSS, ADS).
• Experience with RF design and manufacturing (PCB, waveguide, ...).
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers).
• Ability to work autonomously across teams and drive multi-disciplinary projects to completion.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize RF systems and components for satellite telecom payloads (transponders, antennas, SSPA, frequency converters).
• Support all aspects of the development chain: requirements, architecture, design, manufacturing, integration, test, operations.
• Develop test plans that ensure adequate testing of units and the complete system.
• Work on RF / telecommunication spacecraft architecture with various teams (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software, FPGA).
• Support design reviews to ensure requirements and interface compliance.
• Collaborate with external providers of telecommunication systems to review designs and resolve issues.
• Execute in-lab testing and on-orbit performance validation using RF measurement tools.
