Job summary

Sia is a global management consulting group hiring a Data Science Consultant in Brussels. You will engage in transformation projects, performing modelling and partial coding with business perspective.

You will explore machine learning, operations research, and big data, and contribute to internal initiatives and commercial activities. Willingness to travel internationally is expected and multilingual collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in civil engineering or related field with IT/applied mathematics.
• 0–3 years’ experience as a consultant.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong interest in data science and AI topics.
• Willing to travel for temporary assignments abroad.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and digital transformation projects in client environments.
• Develop predictive models, ML/AI and statistics where applicable.
• Assist in design and implementation of OR/optimization solutions.
• Work with large and unstructured data sets in Big Data contexts.
• Contribute to internal development of data science offerings and business development.

Job Description

As a consultant in Data Science, you will be involved in transformation projects at our clients. You will execute project assignments in modelling and digital transformation (business/IT analysis and partial coding) environments with a good deal of business perspectives:

• Machine learning, AI and statistics: developing predictive models of decision making (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis,...)
• Operational research : assistance in the design and implementation of constraint optimization solutions and simulation models
• Big Data : Algorithmic knowledge for large and unstructured data processing

Qualifications

• University Master Civil Engineer (applied mathematics, IT or similar)
• 0 to 3 years’ experience as a consultant
• Outstanding team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong interest in data science and related sectors such as Energy and Finance
• Analytical mind, exploring options and able to synthesize into conclusions
• You have a strong interest in data and AI-related topics, the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas, and you’re excited about helping our clients seize the opportunities they offer.
• Dynamic, result oriented, rigorous and committed
• Trilingual: French, Dutch and English
• Prepared to participate in temporary assignments abroad
