Job summary

Sia is seeking a Consultant in Data Science to join our Brussels office. You will work on transformation projects, performing modelling, analytics and partial coding, while keeping a strong business perspective in mind.

Collaborate with teams across data science, business and IT, contribute to client deliverables, and actively participate in internal development and commercial initiatives. A proactive, international mindset and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• University Master Civil Engineer (applied mathematics, IT or similar).
• 0 to 3 years’ experience as a consultant.
• Outstanding team player with great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong interest in data science and related sectors such as Energy and Finance.
• Analytical mind, exploring options and able to synthesize into conclusions.
• You have a strong interest in data and AI-related topics, the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas, and you’re excited about helping our clients seize the opportunities they offer.
• Dynamic, result oriented, rigorous and committed.
• Trilingual: French, Dutch and English.
• Prepared to participate in temporary assignments abroad.

Responsibilities

• Engage in transformation projects at clients, executing modelling and digital transformation tasks.
• Develop predictive models using ML/AI and econometrics.
• Assist in design and deployment of constraint optimization and simulation models in OR.
• Work with big data for large-scale data processing.
• Contribute to internal growth through offering development and business development activities.

Job Description

As a consultant in Data Science, you will be involved in transformation projects at our clients. You will execute project assignments in modelling and digital transformation (business/IT analysis and partial coding) environments with a good deal of business perspectives:

• Machine learning, AI and statistics: developing predictive models of decision making (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis,...)
• Operational research : assistance in the design and implementation of constraint optimization solutions and simulation models
• Big Data : Algorithmic knowledge for large and unstructured data processing
